Probably time for an update

Clue: We’re back

Back in the Caribbean that is.

Yup. We have moved back with the dogs and all. I’m pleased to announce we are thriving. Thankfully having relocated internationally before we’re becoming PRO’s at this now. Honestly found it a lot less stressful this time around. Don’t get me wrong the last three months have been *busy* but not terrifying.

The hardest and most stressful part was definitely sending the dogs. Popping your precious babies on a 9 hours flight without you is very scary. Tears were shed. They managed absolutely fine and have settled in brilliantly. The company we used really exceeded expectations which was absolutely lovely.

We managed to sort a house out fairly easily on our last visit here and now just setting up a new business to run along side our current one. Fun fun fun.

My gorgeous dogs back living the island life

I’m back! And it’s been crazy.

2020. The dreaded 2020. I think it’s been a year of madness for everyone, huge change and uncertainty. As I’m writing this we’ve just been told we’re going back into lockdown. Oh golly gosh.

I managed to avoid the first UK lockdown as I was in Barbados, arguable that lockdown was far worse, but that’s a different story. I don’t want to go into too much detail with lockdown or hugely political but I am sad about this lockdown and I don’t hold much hope that it will be four weeks to solve the problem.

Adaptation seems to have been what we’re all having to learn this year and I’m hoping that my platforms with reflect this. I’m a girl with a love of horses, shopping, travel, photography, the outdoors and my family. I don’t want to be limited to one box. I want to share it all. With that in mind that’s what I plan on sharing, a little of everything.

So welcome to Lockdown 2.0 Diaries. I hope you can stay a while.

Meet Winston

We have a puppy. A real puppy, one that barks and plays and chews your fingers. He is adorable and I am in love.

It was a bit of an accident really, born and raised on one of the business sites, him and one of his litter mates were offered to us and as we had been toying with the idea of a little pup, so he came home with us. I know – brave and risky! Both of us have grown up with and had dogs so it isn’t really an unknown territory and honestly, he has been the most well behaved and lovely pup ever.

It has definitely reminded us both how much hard work puppies are – an insane amount! You need eyes on the back of your head and at least three hands. They don’t understand well, anything. Thankfully this little guy is nearly house trained (in three days) and has almost got the knack of sleeping all night.
